Sometimes when I go out to these parks where I live I just want to walk around and enjoy the landscape. I want to take pictures of what’s around me, not of me. I want to wear my hiking boots or rain boots while deep in the woods. I always loved going to national/state parks and walking around taking photos of landscapes. I started out taking photos of landscapes and not portrait photos. And they were for me as a reference when I was painting. I didn’t start doing portrait photography until last year and that’s when I fell in love with just photography.

I am a nature lover, first, then fashion comes in as a close second. So, here are some landscapes that I took last week when we had some warm weather. I was just walking the local trails where I live. I’m wearing black skinny leg jeans and a long sleeve black t-shirt with a teal duster from LuLaRoe.  I’m really into dusters and cardigans right now this winter. They give me that extra warmth for when I’m inside or when I go outside and I want to still wear a t-shirt underneath. You have on long sleeves and the shirt underneath expose. It just looks classical for me.

I hope that I can take this blog in the right direction and show you what my life is like here in South Jersey. Showing that it’s nice even when you do not live in a major city. I love not living in a city and enjoy living in the suburbs all my life. I get to live with nature and beautiful things every day. Having open space when I walk outside. Plus, I am not a big city type of girl, I like living close to a major city but not be in the city every day. Makes the town more exciting when you visit and walk around versus living there.

Enjoy the photographs!!

Love you all,

Valerie (Jersey Girl)
