Happy May the Fourth

Hello and once again, welcome to an annual blog post done by me! Happy May the Fourth! Happy Star Wars Day! Here is my outfit for this year. A romper that I got last year on sale that I saved all year long to wear. I always plan this outfit a year in advance.  This has got to be my favorite blog post to do.

If you do not know by now I am a Star Wars fan and love all the movies. This is my time to celebrate, show my love for the iconic movie franchise, and how it has been a part of my life. This year I wore this romper as my outfit. I am lucky this year it got warm in New Jersey early and I can wear this romper this year without covering it up. It’s a navy romper with iconic symbols from the rebel, like an X-wing and R2D2 surrounded by florals. Even though, it is kind of consider floral print it’s not too overpowering. I do not know why all plus size retailers are always putting out mainly floral prints for us consumers? Do they think us double-digit size girls only like floral prints? Everything you do does not have to be done floral print. Not saying that I hate florals but I would like more options in prints. Some stripes and some geometrics would be nice.

But just to let you know I do not hate this romper. If I did, I would have not bought it. I haven’t found much Star Wars clothing that I do like this past year. So I might have to keep it for future Star Wars Celebrations. It is so easy when it comes to bands, TV, and movies that we love to go straight to just buying a t-shirt but the past two years I just didn’t want to wear just a Star Wars for May the Fourth. I wanted to show you other types of clothing that can be cool to wear without looking dorky, even though in real life I am a dork.

It was nice just wearing one item of clothing on, between winter and work I’ve been wearing so many layers. So I was able to through the romper on, put some sneakers, and lather some sunscreen. Which was so nice and odd to be doing so early in the year. Global warming and weird climate change are happening.

On a body positive side, every time I wear shorts the inseam always rides up because of my chub rub. Two years ago I cared about something like that, constantly pulling it down even as I walk. Now, I don’t care that much while I am out. I mean that’s just what my thighs do, they rub together and move my pants up.

Happy May the Fourth!

Love you all,

Valerie (your Jersey girl)
